A permanent fixture of the starport casino and luxury liner game rooms, Dice is noted for his wild swings of fortune. He goes from rags to riches to rags so quickly and frequently that he is well known in the highest and lowest circles of society. Rumor has it that his brother Oz opened his pawn shop entirely stocked with Dice's toys that he sold on a ghastly slide from the top.
Dice has a bevy of women when he is on his way up, and a mob of loan sharks on his way down. Still, he'd bet his mother on a roll of the dice and has always bounced back. Adventurers may be hired to collect from him or for him. They may meet him at the tables and lose their shirt or win his. Or they may be hired to investigate the rumor that he is smuggling Darrian artifacts.
He is actually a very big collector of Darrian art and technology. He never sells items from his personal collection, no matter how big his debts. He is extremely cagey when it comes to his collection and will not allow anyone whom he does not know well engage him on the subject. His net worth is well over 100 MCr. Some of his most spectacular losses were actually payoff money for larger purchases.
This gambler has one Darrian artifact that he keeps with him at all times. The watch that he wears keeps track of the odds, counts cards and detects most cheating methods. The info is projected onto a screen inside his right eye whenever he looks at the time.
